Description

L-929 is a solution coated epoxy prepreg with superior mechanical properties. It is a versatile “General Purpose” product. L-929 is available on 3K70P style carbon fabric or other styles as requested. L-929 is also available in unidirectional tape up to 24” (61 cm) wide. Typical designations for this material would be named L-929(GT300)-24” (61 cm).

Advantages of L-929
  • Thorough wetting of carbon fiber yields a product exhibiting outstanding flexural and compressive strength. L-929 may be used in applications with a service temperature of 180°F (82°C). L-929 is well suited to the requirements of sporting goods and other commercial applications.

  • Standard Weight: 0.070 lbs/ft2 (342 g/m2)
  • Standard Resin Content: 43% by weight
  • Volatile Content: 2% maximum
  • Standard Tack: Medium
  • Cured Ply Thickness: 0.008” (0.2032 mm)
  • Other Weights, Resin Contents, and Fabrics are Available.
 Availability
  • Up to 60” width in rolls up to 50 yards long for woven fabrics (152 cm x 46 m)
  • Up to 24" width in rolls up to 100 yards long for unidirectional tapes (61 cm x 91 m)
Shelf Life
  • 6 months at 40°F (4°C) or below
  • 14 days at Room Temperature (70°F or 21°C)
