Product Data Sheet Revised 12/22/06
Description

L-561RT is an ambient temperature curing, high strength, flame retardant, epoxy prepreg available on fiberglass fabrics such as 7781 or other styles as requested. L-561RT is intended to be used as a single ply or multiple ply skin for complex or contoured laminates, custom moldings, foam-cored or balsa-cored panels, and for tooling prototypes.

Advantages of L-561RT
  • Ambient temperature cure coupled with high strength and toughness in this system make it ideal for complex shapes, molds or tools in the automotive, marine, and aerospace industries. Further, L-561RT can be bonded directly to a variety of substrates for general purpose use.
  • Easy processing is another major advantage. L-561RT can be cured with vacuum bag, press or autoclave type cures from 48 hours at 75°F (24°C) or in just 12 hours at 120°F (49°C) with contact pressure.
  • L-561RT is also an excellent laminating prepreg where high impact strength and high toughness are required.
  • L-561RT will find quick acceptance where unique designs or prototypes are being constructed. The ambient cure system allows for processing and lay up without the aid of elevated temperature curing.
