Product Data Sheet Revised 2/20/07
Description
Fiberply L-201 is a unidirectional cross-plied fiberglass prepreg face sheet with a flame retardant epoxy matrix. The fiberglass can be E-glass and/or S-2 ® glass. The impregnating resin is solution coated and cures in a broad temperature range.
Advantages of L-201
  • Superior mechanical properties when compared to composites of woven prepreg because the fiberply process eliminates breaking, twisting, and intertwining of fibers caused by the weaving process.
  • Improved strength and stiffness to weight ratios because excess resin deposits inherent with woven fiberglass prepregs are eliminated.
  • Pre-plied materials reduce the assembly labor in the production of sandwich panels.
  • Reduced cost relative to woven prepregs because the complicated steps of weaving, stitching, heat -cleaning, and refinishing have been eliminated. The fiberply process produces adhesive prepreg directly from fiber and resin.
